John Dillinger is mortally wounded

Seventy-four years ago today, John Dillinger was shot dead in front of the Biograph Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. The FBI was laying in wait as Dillinger and his "lady in red" exited the theatre.

Archaeologists find ancient army HQ
